I just finished reading The New Korea! This book vividly narrates South Korea's struggle to become one of the world's fastest growing economy. From an agricultural country constantly ravaged by war, South Korea emerged unscathed to become a leader in technological innovation. The book also talks about untold stories of world-renowned companies such as Samsung and LG and how these companies triumphantly conquered the global market. The book also briefly discusses South Korea's relationship with its neighbouring countries especially its eternal nemesis up North. Such an informative and truly inspiring book everyone from a developing Asian country must read.
Tomorrow, I will start reading about another area in the world, The Middle East! I'm so excited. My long vacation is beginning to become very exciting!
